That’s impossible, sir, it’s in Johnson’s underwear…

Bonham loves to pick out his underwear each day. For a while now his favorite pair were his dinosaur ones from Gap. If they were dirty, he’d settle for the cookie monster ones from his Sesame Street set…but he wasn’t happy. Doing laundry pretty much daily to ensure the underwear of choice was clean has been a pain. Who am I kidding, I pretty much do laundry daily anyway, but still, it was hard to always have these on hand. Plus, he is rapidly outgrowing them. In fact…I think he has.

So, I wanted to find cool new ones to replace them. I tried a variety from Old Navy and Gap and even a set of Cars ones…but he really wasn’t having it. They just weren’t special I guess. And then….I found Days of the Week ones from Gymboree. I was VERY nervous to buy them. If he found a favorite and wanted to wear it on the wrong day…I might have an OCD heart attack. I mean, Monday chonies on Thursday would just not-be-acceptable to me. I just couldn’t do it. Thankfully Bonham is likeminded. He wants Monday on Monday, and only on Monday. And each day, on the correct day, all week long. These have taught him the days of the week and also provided us with 7 favorites instead of just one. I love them! And thankfully so does he. And I really don’t call them chonies. I just call them underwear, but one of my sisters and her clan use the word chonies…so I thought I’d try it out in this post.

Sydney would send you over the edge. She has days of the week underwear but her little anal heart has to match her underwear to her outfits by color. So sometime we have Thursday on Monday and so forth. But we are almost always color coordinated!

Who are you kidding? He's your kid – of course he wouldn't wear the wrong underwear on the wrong day!! Jane has days of the weeks socks and she would always wear them on the wrong day – i think just to drive me crazy :-)

I feel like days of the week underwear would have been helpful in college.

And chonies are for girls. Chachis are for boys.
