Sunscreen, Shorts and Vitamins

Within a 5 minute span of time I read a post by Susan on sunscreen and skin cancer, and was told by my doctor that my Vitamin D levels are way, way low. So…pass the sunscreen and the vitamins.

I also had a iPhone chat with Susan about shorts. I read her post on shorts, then I read Rachel’s post on the same topic. So I went and tried on my 7″ shorts and texted Susan a picture. “You want me to go 2 inches SHORTER??” was my panicky text. Her calm reply was “Yes. I know you can do it.” You have to love supportive friends who also enable you to spur of the moment shop. Old Navy is having their 30% off sale and with my BR card I get free shipping…so I placed a very hasty order for 2 pairs of 5″ shorts. They are out of my size in the cute pink, so I got tan and black.

Speaking of Rachel….she used Washi tape on her walls. I love that woman. Well done.

I didn’t post this dress in my dress post earlier this week, but I did send it to RBB with a “PLEASE” plea. I am hoping it finds it’s way to me from him, soon.

This dress in black is calling to me. I sent it to him rather than just buy it because I was trying to be good. And because mother’s day and our Annv are right around the corner.

I realize this post reads a bit like my Friday links post…but it’s not. I have one of those in the works for you too.

    Shorts for the win!

i really love this post. i have a major “short” issue. wrote about it last year, after i opted for longer shorts (that i’ve worn- oh, about 1 time).

just did a tough leg workout today, and am going on an even tougher (uphill) hike tomorrow. maybe, just *maybe i will purchase a pair of “shorter” shorts this year.

Short shorts are so cute and make me so insecure. They remind me of the only thing I miss from my 20s. My legs. They used to be so good and now they have almost no business seeing the light of day above the knee. Long live the maxi dress/skirt.

you know my take on sunscreen and my experience with skin cancer as I posted this last year

also, everyone should be getting a skin screening once a year. ok, enough seriousness….back to short. i agree with going shorter – doesn’t cut off the leg as much. of course, easier said than done.

gave you a little award on my blog today :) happy weekend!
