Bonham hadn’t seen Star Wars until this weekend. But his love for all things Star Wars started a while back. He had no idea what it was all about, but he wanted in on it. We started buying Lego Star Wars stuff and he was hooked. Then he found this in the Lego catalog.
This thing is $400!!!!!!!! and 3800 pieces. I am not sure which part of that freaks me out more. We said no to buying this. So Bonham started saving. $121. Chore money, holiday money, found coins…it all gets saved. I’m starting to think I need to buy this while I still can and keep it until he is ready. I mean…what if he saves the $400 and it is no longer for sale??!?! That would suck.
And on the Star Wars thing. We had been wanting to wait until he was 6 to show it to him. I know, I know…lots of kids see it earlier but that was our plan. He gets kind of scared by movies and we just didn’t want to risk it. But not seeing it, yet being obsessed with it, he has created all this info on it in his head. Most wrong. Most scarier than the actual movie. So we decided to let him watch it…and it was fine. He liked it, wasn’t scared at all and wants to watch it again. Really, the chase scenes in some of the Disney movies are way scarier than the battle scenes in Star Wars. Huh..so there you go. Glad we ended up letting him watch.
