So…I did the Warrior Dash. Not a bunch of pics of the course because you couldn’t see most of it from the center area where RBB was with the camera. I came. I ran. I got muddy. And really….it was really run. The course is very rocky and a lot of it was uphill. The narrow path combined with people and lots of rocks and uneven terrain made it kind of hard to manage without twisting an ankle, which I think we all did at least a few times. The obstacles were a lot more fun than I thought they would be. I wasn’t first in our group, but I also wasn’t last. I held my own. I did it. Way way way outside my comfort zone. And I did it. A hell of a way to start my 37th year (which I technically start on Monday).
I think the look on my face sums up my pre-race feelings….
This is the end of the course. You can see one of the walls, a cargo net wall and the fire. I am not in the pic.
Me jumping over fire obscured by a flag, see that’s me after fire, and again after fire, and then crawling through mud.
and after the mud…
and after it all. Not a great pic of me…but posting it anyway….
And last one…me with my amazing friend Jessi who convinced me to do this, helped me train for it and was there for me every step of the way…
OK I lied…this is the last one. The Pride MMA Warrior Dash Team.
