Conversations with Bonham often lead me down the rabbit hole of parenting. Today we spoke about the OKC Thunder/Harden trade. That led to who is the general manager, what is a general manager, what he does, what NBA players get paid, what a salary cap is and came dangerously close to the luxury tax question, but I was saved by the carpool line.
“Because I said so.”
“Just because.”
“I don’t know.”
These phrases don’t work….and honestly, I don’t even try them. I love that he wants more info. He wants me to look things up, to explain details, to question.
It is tiring. It is more work than the quick answer. But it is more rewarding and fun too.
